Makau’s Course Integrator allows you to put custom course contents into the Learning Appliance: Whether it is video recordings of keynote speeches by a CEO, or custom training on a company’s product assembly or any web-enabled training course can be added to the Makau Learning Management System using the Makau Course Integrator.

Tracking

When a course is added to the Learning Appliance using the Course Integrator, it can be equipped with the same tracking features as a Library or pre-loaded course. Administrators can assign it to students and classes, system and class administrators can track student progress and assess student performance. Think of the hours of laborious checkout and tracking procedures and paperwork that can be avoided when a custom course is tracked through the Learning Appliance.

By putting all library and custom courses under one system, you will realize savings in administration of courses and more importantly, employees will be more likely to use the training. Course Requirements

1. Be Web Enabled (be capable of being opened by using a browser to include Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Netscape, etc.).

2. Be copied along with all necessary images and video files to a unique directory within the “Courses\Custom” directory on the Learning Appliance Server.

Administrator Requirements

1. Ability to identify the location of the course files during the integration process.

2. Ability to navigate and document HTML and place course tracking codes into their proper place.

3. Ability to identify and adjust variables in JavaScript that report student performance.
